By a Philadelphia Wedding Photographer who gushes for rural wedding landscapes

Nicole and Christopher’s summer wedding at Stone Spring Farms in Hamburg, PA was one of those days that glowed from start to finish. Tucked in the heart of Berks County, just outside the Philadelphia area, this venue gave us every kind of backdrop you could dream of — flowering trees, rustic stone buildings, a sparkling pond, and sweeping vistas manicured with so much care by Josiah and Becca. Their attention to detail creates a charming ambiance that makes Stone Spring Farms one of the most elevated barn wedding venues in Pennsylvania.

Getting Ready in the Cottage
Nicole began her morning in the venue’s lovely not-so-little cottage, sharing a tender moment with her mom before slipping into her gown. She was the very picture of grace and elegance. Her talent showed everywhere — from the DIY florals she designed (professional-grade, truly stunning) to the pottery centerpieces she handmade herself. These thoughtful touches infused the day with personality and artistry.

Meanwhile, Christopher got ready with his dad, brother, and friends, laughing as his groomsmen reminded him of his unforgettable secretly planned (except for Nicole!) bachelor trip to Europe- which they abducted him for - with no prior knowledge on Chris' part. His tuxedo fit like it was made for him — refined, classic, and perfectly suited for the joy he radiated all day long.

A First Look Under the Evergreens
The couple shared their first look beneath the sweeping boughs of an evergreen tree. Nicole glowed with poise and beauty; Christopher was absolutely beaming. It was one of those moments where time seemed to stop. Their dog, Philly, joined in later for portraits — a perfect reminder that weddings are even better when four-legged family members are included.

The Ceremony
Friend and officiant Allie Schreffler led a heartfelt ceremony filled with joyful sincerity and more than a few happy tears. A soil-combining ritual symbolized their roots coming together — a quiet but moving gesture that reflected their commitment. Guests were surrounded by the natural beauty of the farm, and the couple’s love was the centerpiece.

Portraits on the Grounds
From stone barns to golden fields, every inch of Stone Spring Farms was a canvas for portraits. The pond shimmered in the summer sun, flowering trees framed the couple with color, and wide-open skies gave us that perfect rural romance. As the sun dipped behind the hills, we snuck away for golden-hour portraits — a breathtaking sequence that spoke to how deeply these two are invested in each other.

Reception Highlights
Inside the renovated barn, the couple celebrated with their closest family and friends. Nicole’s handmade pottery centerpieces and DIY floral arrangements filled the space with charm, giving the evening a warm, personal feel.

When it came time for their first dance, Nicole and Christopher took everyone’s breath away. Though completely improvised, their movements felt seamless and full of connection — the kind of dance you’d swear was choreographed. As someone with a background in musical theatre myself, I’ve studied plenty of stage movement, and even I was floored by how effortlessly these two moved together. It was a moment that perfectly captured their joy and partnership: focused entirely on each other, unshaken by the world around them.

A Celebration of Family & Craft
This wedding wasn’t about impressing anyone. It was about celebrating with loved ones, cherishing meaningful traditions, and highlighting the couple’s creativity. With families beaming and friends cheering, Nicole and Christopher crafted a wedding day that was wholly and authentically theirs.
